King Cedric and Queen Titania welcome all the guests and expresses their joy at the kingdom coming together. Fairy Lilac is about to give her blessing when a thunderclap signals the arrival of the evil Meladora and her henchmen, Snitch and Snatch. Meladora is upset at not being invited and curses Aurora on her 18th birthday, she’ll prick her finger on a spinning wheel and fall into an endless sleep. Fairy Lilac counters the curse, ensuring Aurora will only sleep until awakened by an act of true love. The King and Queen decide to lock away all spinning wheels to prevent the curse. Will Meladora’s plan succeed? And can Prince Leo, Dame Clara and her son Alex overcome the magical obstacles (including a wall of thorns and a riddle master) to reach Princess Aurora in time. Join us in February 2026 half-term to see our traditional interpretation of this family pantomime classic. About the Abergavenny Pantomime Company

Abergavenny Pantomime Company is the oldest Pantomime Company in Wales and was established back in 1932. Its main aim is to perform a traditional pantomime in order to raise money for local charities. Our pantomimes are generally performed during half-term week in February each year.
